Weather & Safety Issues
We all know that the weather in Colorado is day to day. The average low temperature on December 19 is 17 degrees and the average high temperature is 45 degrees. There may be snow or ice on the course, there may be rain, it may be muddy, and it may be nice. We will just have to wait and see what shows up on race day. The race will be run no matter what the weather!
Chatfield State Park is a multi-use park that can see a lot of foot, bike, horse and vehicle traffic. However, in December, this traffic is fairly light. Expect to see wildlife in the form of rabbits, prairie dogs, fox, and coyotes.
