Directions:
The race will be staged from the Swim Beach parking lot at Chatfield State Park in Littleton. To get to the start/finish area, travel on C-470 to the south side of Denver and exit at Wadsworth Ave. Travel south on Wadsworth. Turn left into the main entrance of Chatfield State Park. You will have to stop at the entrance gate, but participants will not have to pay a fee. Click here for a map of parking areas.

Awards:
Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners in each race as well as the top three in the following age groups:
19 and under
20-24
25-29
30-34
35-39
40-44
45-49
50-54
55-59
60-64
65-69
70 and over

Race Day Registration, Packet Pickup and Event Timeline:
9:00 AM - Race day registration and packet pick-up begins
10:00 AM - Races start

Goodies:

All participants will receive a race logo short sleeved cotton t-shirt with their registration. Runners who register for the entire series will receive a free one year subscription to Colorado Runner. If the runner is already a subscriber, then one year will be added to their current subscription.

Weather & Safety Issues:
We all know that the weather in Colorado is day to day. The average low temperature on December 20 is 17 degrees and the average high temperature is 45 degrees. There may be snow or ice on the course, there may be rain, it may be muddy, and it may be nice. We will just have to wait and see what shows up on race day. The race will be run no matter what the weather!

Chatfield State Park is a multi-use park that can see a lot of foot, bike, horse and vehicle traffic. However, in December, this traffic is fairly light. Expect to see wildlife in the form of rabbits, prairie dogs, fox, and coyotes.
